Elbert County Dispatch, Jun 5, 2024 · Central Communications/911 Center Central Communications or Elbert County 911 as it is sometimes called is responsible for handling all Emergency and Non-Emergency dispatches for all agencies in Elbert County and the City of Elberton. (Department Wildland Identifier: CO-EBTZ) In addition to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, we dispatch for fourteen other agencies throughout Douglas and Elbert Counties, who contract with DCSO for dispatching services: United Fire Dispatch Authority, which consists of the Castle Rock, Franktown, Jackson 105, and Larkspur fire departments. ECCA provides communications equipment and infrastructure to all emergency agencies in the county, and funds emergency dispatch services. There are 16 Full-Time and 4 Part-Time employees who man the Dispatch Center with 4 on duty 24 hours per day.
